Perth County volunteer firefighters didn't have much trouble extinguishing a car fire early Saturday morning. Emergency crews were dispatched at 3AM, to a van on fire, in the Shakespeare Pond. The vehicle was partially submerged, but still on fire when crews arrived. Firefighters from the Shakespeare Station put out the blaze, and made sure no one was inside. Police learned the van had been stolen from the Kitchener area. Anyone with information on the case should call Perth OPP 1888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers at 1800-222-TIPS.
