The event will feature several students from schools throughout the region, competing to raise the most money. Last year's competition saw over 1,500 students raise over $50,000. It goes on November 7th.
WOODSTOCK - United Way Oxford's annual Stair Climb is back.
It is among several events being organized by United Way, which will feature a number of students from across the County participate to raise money.
Executive Director Kelly Gilson says it is the Stair Climb's 16th year.
"The goal is to encourage kids to understand that they can make a difference and that they can go out and they can fundraise and they can contribute themselves, and so that they really have a role to play."
Last year's competition saw 1,500 students raise over $50,000.
Students from different school will look to raise the most money, as they aim to win this year's top prize.
Gilson says it's a friendly competition.
"It is everything that you remember fun about being a teenager and when you see the enthusiasm and the commitment and the spirit. The kids from all schools across the County come together, they fundraise and when you see what they bring to the table that day it is out of this world."
WCI won last year's event after beating IDCI and ending their 14-year winning streak.
It goes on November 7th.
