United Way Oxford needs some help to reach their $1.2 million dollar fundraising goal this year.
OXFORD COUNTY - The United Way's Local Love Campaign is well underway and are still looking for some generous help from Oxford communities.
With a fundraising goal of $1.2 million dollars this year the United Way are encouraging people to come together and donate for some social change in Oxford County. United Way Oxford Board Member, Leslie Farrell was in studio saying that she's happy with what she sees in our communities.
"Being out in the community lately, what I've been proud of the most is watching the local love that we see out in the community. Whether I'm going to workplace campaign's and talking about what United Way does in the community or, even just seeing what people say on social media. People sharing their local love and I think that's what Oxford does so well."
Kelly Gilson was also talking about how companies can get involved.
"You can go online and make a donation, you can come into the United Way office or you could do it from the comfort of your own home. But we really want to encourage workplaces to get involved as well, over 65% of our dollars actually come from employee payroll giving."
If your interested in donation visit the United Way Oxford location in Woodstock or visit www.unitedwayoxford.ca.
