The Braves, the Merchants and the Trojans will spend the weekend in Oxford County.
PJHL - All of the local Oxford County teams have home games tonight.
The Tavistock Braves will host the Wellesley Applejacks, while the Thamesford Trojans take on the Mount Brydges Bulldogs, and the Norwich Merchants face the Hespeler Shamrocks. The Thamesford and Tavistock games will begin at 7:30 p.m., while the Norwich game has an 8:00 p.m. start time.
The Braves will also host the Merchants in a battle of Highway 59 rivals tomorrow. That game should get underway at 7:30 p.m..
The Braves sit on top of the Doherty Division standings with 10 points, two points ahead of the second place Applejacks with eight points, and three points ahead of the third place Paris Mounties with seven points. The Merchants are tied with the New Hamburg Firebirds with fourth place with six points each, while the Dorchester Dolphins sit in fifth place with four points. The Shamrocks are last place with one point.
The Thamesford Trojans are tied with the Exeter Hawks for fourth place in the Yeck Division standings with four points each. The Petrolia Flyers sit in third place with five points while the Bulldogs are tied with the Aylmer Spitfires for second place with eight points each, and the North Middlesex Stars sit on top of the standings with 12 points. The Port Stanley Sailors are in fifth place with three points, and the Lucan Irish sit at the bottom of the standings with two points.
