Woodstock residents have until October 7th to e-mail their questions to uniforlocal636@rogers.com.
WOODSTOCK - With less than a month away until the municipal election, Unifor Local 636 is getting ready to host a couple of events for the Woodstock candidates.
President Brent Thompson says an all-candidates meeting for those running for City and City/County council positions will be happening on Wednesday, October 12th.
"It's an exciting time because there are so many people that want to get involved with their community and their city. It's fantastic, but it does limit how we have to do things. Because all 18 candidates are invited, all of the candidates will be asked three questions and those three questions will come from the public."
Thompson says the mayoral candidates' meeting will be happening on Thursday, October 13th and it will follow a traditional debate format.
"We can sit and ask some tough questions. Depending on the number of candidates that show up, so far we've heard back from pretty much all of them, we'll sit there and have questions again that can come from uniforlocal636@rogers.com."
Both of the events will be televised on Rogers starting at 6:00 p.m. with limited seating available on a first-come, first serve basis.
A moderator will be asking the questions at both events. Members of the public have until Friday, October 7th at 12:00 p.m. to e-mail their questions to uniforlocal636@rogers.com. Officials will be looking through all of the submitted questions, and they will select the most popular ones.
