Operation Sharing gets $2000 from Union's Social Justice Fund
UNIFOR Local 636 members are showing their support for Operation Sharing.
On Friday morning, the union presented the organization with their annual $2 thousand cheque paid out of their Social Justice Fund.
Union President Ross Gerrie says "For probably the last 15 years, our union, the CAW at that time, no UNIFOR has donated $2 thousand out of our social justice fund to food banks across the country, 46 in total and I think we are very fortunate to be one of those 46."
President of Operation Sharing, Mark McLennan says it's been a good month for the organization and today's donation is just another example of generosity of the community.
