The UDodge Tournament was a huge success raising $11,693 for programs and services in Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - Over 100 people packed Huron Park Secondary School for the first UDodge Tournament in three years.
A total of eight teams participated in the dodgeball tournament on Saturday with the RBC Fighting Leos winning it all in the end. They were followed by the Revellers of Revel Realty Brokerage in second place and the team from Stonex Granite & Quartz in third place.
Amanda Kreiger, the Resource Development Manager for United Way Oxford, says the tournament raised a grand total of $11,693.
"That money will stay in Oxford County and support of all of the programs and services that we support with United Way every year."
The team from Sierra Construction raised the most funds with over $3,600. The team from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County won the Team Spirit Award and someone from the Pow Engineering team won the Last Dodger Standing contest.
Kreiger says the tournament was a huge success and it will return next year.
"I just want to thank everybody for coming out! It was a dreary day but we had a blast. Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers who made it happen."
