A Norwich Township man is facing impaired driving charges after a collision involving a Lang school bus.
SOUTHWEST OXFORD - A Norwich Township man is facing impaired driving charges after a collision with a school bus.
Oxford OPP were called to a collision involving a van and a Lang school bus yesterday afternoon at Pressey Line near Culloden Road in Southwest Oxford. The van struck the rear end of the school bus while it was stopped with lights activated. Only one student was on the bus with the driver at the time and no injuries were reported.
Following a police investigation, it was determined the male driver was impaired and he was arrested.
58 year old Michael Palen of Norwhich Township has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in the blood, and operation of motor vehicle while impaired. His licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his van impounded for 7 days.
He has been released on a promise to appear.
