Police say they found over $11,000 in stolen goods, meth, cocaine and fentanyl after pulling over an impaired driver on Sunday afternoon.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police were tipped off about a possible impaired driver on Sunday afternoon on Winchester Street.
Police arrested the driver and the passenger after the investigation allowed them to find over $11,000 in stolen goods and drugs in the vehicle. Officers seized the property, along with a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.
The 37-year-old driver from Woodstock was arrested on the following charges:
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x2
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Resist Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court x4
- Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Flight From Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order x3
- Driving while under suspension
The 22-year-old passenger from Ingersoll was charged with the following offences as well.
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2
Meanwhile both men were issued charges for the following as well.
- Possession of a Firearm knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Transport Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition in a Careless Manner
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
- Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/Ammunition
- Possession Of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession Of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
- Possession Of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – methamphetamine
The male driver was transported to hospital for treatment.
