The Carolina Hurricanes have won the Stanley Cup and the New York Knicks have won the NBA Finals.
LAS VEGAS/SAN ANTONIO - It was a memorable weekend in the worlds of sports!
The Carolina Hurricanes hoisted the Stanley Cup in Las Vegas last night, after they shutout the Golden Knights 3-0. Carolina won the best-of-seven championship series 4-2 and this is the Hurricanes second NHL championship in franchise history.
Over in the NBA, the New York Knicks have also won their first NBA championship in 53 years Saturday night.
They hoisted the Larry O'Brien Trophy Saturday night after celebrating a 94-90 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. The Knicks won the best-of-seven series 4-1.
