Ghosts, ghouls, princesses and superheros will be stopping by the Woodstock YMCA during their big Trunk or Treat event.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock YMCA is on the lookout for trunks for their big Trunk or Treat event.
They're asking residents, businesses and organizations to decorate their vehicles and hand out candy in the YMCA parking lot on Saturday October 27th.
Adult Health and Wellness Coordinator Amy Luciani tells us about some of the submissions they have so far.
"The Royal Bank is on board and they're having the Banking Bandits. We're going to have a Harry Potter theme, I think someone has a Mario and a Harvest theme. There's a Witches Brew theme so there's going to be lots of different, fun themed Halloween trunks for the kids."
Luciani says they're expecting lots of trunk or treaters this year.
"I think we're estimating about 300 to 500 kids. It's hard to say because as much as we hear the chat online we could get a lot more than expected."
The trunk or treating will begin at 2 p.m. and wrap up at around 4 p.m.
Anyone interested in handing out candy should register before Saturday October 20th. They can contact Luciani by emailing aluciani@ymcawo.ca or stop by the YMCA to fill out a registration form.
