Six are dead, and one is in hospital after a mass stabbing in Ottawa.

Police have also charged a 19-year-old with six counts of first-degree murder, and one count of attempted murder. The suspect is an international student from Sri Lanka who was living with the victims at the time.
The attack killed a young mother, her four children, and a family friend. The father remains in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

OTTAWA - A tragic incident has happened in the Nation's Capital.
Police were responding to a 9-1-1 call late last night (Wednesday, March 6th) on Berrigan Drive in Barrhaven, when they found the bodies of four children and two adults. There is a seventh person in hospital with serious injures.
Police Chief Eric Stubbs says this incident does not look to be one of intimate partner or domestic violence.
There is one man in custody, and Stubbs adds investigators are trying to determine the relationship between the suspect and victims.
