Oxford OPP arrested a man doing double the speed limit through a RIDE program.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP- Oxford OPP have arrested a man from Tillsonburg during a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Highway 59.
Last night around 11:30 a vehicle going double the speed limit of 50km/h nearly struck the officers on foot without slowing down.
OPP then pulled over the vehicle and arrested the 54-year-old man from Tillsonburg.
He was charged with, dangerous operation, occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited device or ammunition, and possession of a schedule I substance- cocaine.
The man has been released from custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges.
