A new transit initiative has launched in Tillsonburg, offering cost-effective transportation for those without their own vehicle.
Starting Monday, industrial workers in Tillsonburg have another option when it comes to getting to work. The Tillsonburg Transit Initiative officially kicks off with the goal of providing affordable transportation to those without their own vehicles.
Coordinator Phil Gravelle says response has been huge. "If people want to get a ride to work, I suggest that they call Why Wait Taxi and make arrangements because seats are filling up fast. Just so that we have enough vehicles on the road to support our working community.
Why Wait Taxi will pick up riders starting at 5:15 am from the Tillsonburg Tim Horton locations for $4 per ride.
Gravelle says six passenger vans are expected to be full this (Monday) morning for the first day of the initiative.
Those interested can contact Why Wait Taxi at 519-842-7889.
