The Alzheimer Societies of Oxford County, St. Thomas and London/Middlesex will be joining forces to create the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Alzheimer Societies of St. Thomas, London and Middlesex and Oxford County are merging to become Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners.
This will formally take place on July 1st, 2021. Chair of the Board of Directors of the Oxford society Glen Harop says they will continue to have an unrelenting focus on those we serve.
"The unified Society will keep services local and close to home. Through this pandemic, we have learned how much people living with dementia require support. Being able to reach out to your local Society will continue."
By unifying agencies they will be able to offer better access and support for people living with dementia/Alzheimer's and their care partners. It will allow them to serve more people and contribute to simplifying the healthcare system by streamlining the delivery of dementia programs and services.
Carol Walters will be come CEO of the Unified Society, Shelley Green will become the Director People and Culture, Oxford Lead and Christine Poier will become the Director of Operations, Elgin Lead.
