Those who venture out onto local waterways are walking on thin ice. Woodstock Police say they've now responded to three separate calls in recent days to people venturing out onto ice. On Sunday, police say they were twice called out to the Pittock reservoir, after youths were spotted walking on our across the reservoir. Also on Sunday, police were called to Southside Park where 5 youths were playing on the ice there. Police arrived and returned the youngsters back into the custody of their parents. Police are urging all parents, to speak to their kids about staying off the ice at this time of the year. With milder temperatures, the ice is getting weaker, and the risk of breaking through should be considered high.
