NORFOLK - Norfolk OPP have responded to a couple of break and enters to vacation homes recently.
Cottages and trailers have been hot spots of thieves, as they try to pick through any valuables the owner may have left behind.
Constable Ed Sanchuk encourages neighbours to look out for each other.
"We're asking everyone especially in the cottage communities and the trailer communities to keep an eye on your property and your neighbours property and report suspicious behaviour immediately."
Sanchuk says these burglars tend to go for alcohol, electronics or any other accessible items. If you must leave something there he says you should mark what is yours.
"If you do have electronics or valuable items left behind, please ensure that you engrave something like your initials or license plate number on those items in order for us to have them returned successfully to you."
