It looks like a person who was the victim of a dog bite in Beachville won't be needing to get a series of rabies shots.

BEACHVILLE - It looks like a person who was the victim of a dog bite in Beachville won't be needing to get a series of rabies shots.
Oxford County Public Health and Emergency Services asked for the publics help to find the dog and the owner responsible for the bite.
The person was bitten while walking along the Carmeuse Lime Plant walking trails last week.
Program Supervisor in Health Protection Elaine Reddick tells Heart FM they needed to find the dog responsible to make sure they are caught up on their vaccinations and are not carrying the rabies virus.
Public Health Officials located the dog on Tuesday will be monitoring the animal for the next 10 days.
As long as the dog is still healthy after the 10 days are over the person who was bit will not need to go through the series of rabies shots.
No word at this time if the dog will have to be put down or if any charges will be laid to the owner.
