They'll be showing off their soccer skills in Tillsonburg Saturday afternoon.
TILLSONBURG -- Toronto FC On The Road is making a stop in Tillsonburg Saturday.
The Tillsonburg Town Centre, who were recently announced as an official mall of the Toronto FC is hosting the event from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
Senior Manager of Marketing/Sponsorship for Retrocom REIT, property owner of Tillsonburg Town Centre, says the event is really aimed at soccer enthusiasts, Toronto FC fans and is family friendly. "It's geared to promote grassroots soccer, teach values on and off the field and just overall a fun place to play and to try out your soccer skills. So there will be a few inflatables, they'll have some different shootout zones with varying degrees of difficulty, they'll be sampling health juice and food options. It's just a chance for those in the community to come out, play soccer and have some fun."
The event's activities are similar to those that are held pre game when the Toronto FC are playing at home. Saturday's event is free to the public.
Georgie says the strategic partnership with the Tillsonburg Town Centre and Toronto FC gives them "the opportunity to connect our shoppers and our consumers to the Toronto FC brand and bring a special event that no other centre can bring to our mall; can reward our shoppers and reward the people in our community that we're fortunate enough to call home with some entertainment, special events, VIP exclusive prizing."
As part of this new relationship, during the month of August there's the opportunity to win a trip to California including flight for two, hotel accommodations and two tickets to see the Toronto FC take on the LA Galaxy.
