The Woodstock Terry Fox Run Committee is getting ready for a volunteer information night and a campaign kick off.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Terry Fox Run Committee is on the lookout for some volunteers.
They will be hosting a volunteer information night at Southgate Centre Monday evening. It will get underway at 7 p.m.
Co-Chair John Versaevel tells Heart FM they will discuss the volunteer opportunities that will be available during the run on September 17th.
"We need people to help do water stations, marshal across streets to make sure everybody is safe and protected, clean up, set up and take down because we have a number of stations that we put up for each year."
Versaevel says they will also talk about the volunteer opportunities leading up to the run and their campaign kick off on July 14th.
"We have never done one before and I was approached by two groups in Woodstock who are going to co-host it for us; that would be Todd's Dogs and the Upper Thames Brewing Company. They are putting the event on for us, raising donations, and helping promote the run."
