The 2017 Terry Fox Campaign will kick off at the Upper Thames Brewery this Friday.
Volunteers, runners and community members are welcome to stop by for a brew and enjoy some Todd's Doggs on Friday July 14th from 7-10:30 pm. Co-chair John Versaevel says they are hoping to attract some new volunteers at the event.
"The t-shirts for the Terry Fox Run this year will be available, anyone interested in joining is more than welcome, we can always use more help."
Versaevel says they have a number of volunteer positions that still need to be filled.
"Getting out lawn signs, posters, promotion, we are doing a booth at Street Fest, so obviously we need people to help man that, we will be doing Saturday morning Farmers Market booths for the latter part of August and the 1st part of September and of course there is the run day itself and their are a number of tasks available. The goal is to get people excited for the main event, the Terry Fox Run happening on Sunday September 17th on the Terry Fox Memorial Track at CASS.
