The St Marys Public Library will undergo carpet and paint renovations later this year.
ST. MARYS - The St. Marys Public Library will be moving to a temporary home.
The building will be closed for three to four weeks, but the programs and services will be available in the Pyramid Rec Centre.
Library Services Coordinator says they will set up shop in the End Zone room starting on August 27th.
"We're just going to have a few shelves in there, we're going to have a little sitting space for the newspapers and people who want to sit down and read magazines, we'll have staff in there all of the time and we'll keep our children's programs in that room. It should just be a comfy, nice space to accommodate us while we're waiting to get back into the library."
Webb says their collection may be limited during that time
"We will have a small collection of books, DVDs, audio books; basically a sampling of each of the collections we have now. It won't be to quite the same extent that we have right now in the library currently but we will have some stuff for people to browse and look through."
Webb suggests checking out their online catalogue beforehand, so you can reserve the book you'd like to sign out ahead of time.
