An Elgin County teenager has learned hard lesson when it comes to impaired driving.
TILLSONBURG - A 17-year-old from Elgin County has been busted for drunk driving in Tillsonburg.
An employee at a business on Broadway called the Oxford OPP shortly before midnight last night after they spotted a possible impaired driver.
Officers spoke with the young driver when they arrived on scene, which also gave them reason to believe the teen had been drinking. The officers issued a breathalyzer test, which the teen failed.
The 17-year-old has since been charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, being a novice driver with a blood alcohol level over zero, and driving a vehicle with open alcohol.
