Starting today, those eligible for a vaccine can sign up to be on the Same Day Vaccination List through SWPH if they can make it to a clinic in 30 minutes or less.
UPDATE: Please note the Same Day Vaccination List is only for first doses of the vaccine.
The List will not allow those waiting for their second dose to book their appointments more quickly. At this point in time, second doses are not being scheduled at internals shorter than 112 days except in very limited circumstances.

SOUTHWESTERN PUBLIC HEALTH REGION - Southwestern Public Health is the Same Day Vaccination List to gather names for people eligible for the vaccine who can get to the clinic quickly when doses are available.
Program Manager Jaime for the Vaccination Task Force Jaime Fletcher says this will help make sure no vaccine goes to waste.
"We know this vaccine is a precious resource and we aim to never waste a dose. Occasionally we have appointment cancellations or no-shows. Our goal is to get the resulting doses to residents who are eagerly waiting. The Same Day Vaccination List allows individuals to self identify if they can present at a clinic within 30 minutes of a phone call from a member of our team."
You can find a registration form on the SWPH website here. You will need to provide your name, contact information, date of birth and preferred location. You will also need to indicate which days you can get to a clinic within 30 minutes. The Same Day vaccines will be done on a first come first serve basis when doses become available.
The list is refreshed each week, so individuals who are interested must sign up again each Monday for the current week.
Fletcher says that only those who are currently eligible according to the province’s currently eligibility criteria can be vaccinated.
"There are no guarantees, but based on what we have seen to-date, we do anticipate that every day we'll call people from the list to come in for a shot. This may result in getting a vaccine weeks ahead of a previously scheduled appointment."
