Crowds gathered in a sea of purple to protest in support of Tori's Law.
WOODSTOCK - A couple hundred people stood in front of the Woodstock courthouse in support of Tori's Law.
The protest saw crowds gather in a sea of purple on November 3rd, listening to speeches from local dignitaries and other members of the community.
Head coordinator Melissa Streatch says she wanted to bring the community together.
"I'm a single mom, I have two kids. I couldn't even imagine what life would be like living in Rodney's position, so I took it upon myself to make that awareness to the world that we are here and we do support you and we do support this law."
She was pleased with the reaction from everyone and she says the large turnout shows how close and supportive the community is.
Streatch hopes the support rally can raise awareness.
"I'm hoping that we can just raise awareness, that life is life. When you're a convicted murderer that means you spend life in prison, you don't spend life in a healing lodge getting luxuries in life that some people that are here today don't even have."
