The first year of college or university can be daunting, but there are on-campus resources to help.
Many young adults are about to take a big step into adulthood - college and university.
For many this will be their first foray into handling bills and being totally in charge of their own schedules, and this can prove to be a daunting task.
Communications Officer for Fanshawe's Regional Campus Eric Collins says writing things down is one of the best ways to remember important information like when bills are due, or when an assignment deadline is approaching.
"Some of the best advice that we've received through our Student Success Advisors and Councillors is investing in a good planner whether it be on your phone or a paper based planner."
Collins also encourages students who many be a little nervous to check out some of the on-campus resources available.
"We have a student success advisor, we have counselling and accessibility services right here on campus which is great because it gives them advice and access to be able to learn skills to better cope with challenges facing them in the first year of school."
