MONTREAL - Air Transat pilots could walk off the job this week, which could throw a wrench into holiday travel plans.
The Air Line Pilots Association announced yesterday that it filed a 72-hour strike notice to the airline. It represents about 750 pilots and they voted 99 percent in favour of a strike last week.
The union has been meeting with Transat AT, the travel company that owns Air Transat, for almost a year. It says the talks in Montreal have stalled over pay and working conditions.
The airline claims that it has offered major improvements to the previous collective agreement from 2015, but the union says that's inaccurate.
