Someone appears to be stealing truck after truck in Perth County.
SHAKESPEARE - Perth County OPP are asking for the public's help after rash of stolen vehicles in the area.
On Tuesday OPP were called after a black Chevy pickup truck was left on a lot in Shakespeare on Trachsel St. Turns out the truck had been stolen from Hamilton sometime before January 10th. Meanwhile on Monday police were called to Fraser Street in Shakespeare after a grey 2002 Chevy Silverado was taken from a driveway on Sunday night. Also on Monday a 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck with the license plate of 9573YL was stolen from a home on Mill Street in Milverton.
This is where the story gets weird as the 2002 Chevy pickup truck stolen from Shakespeare was abandoned at a Mill Street West driveway in Milverton on Monday morning. Police confirmed it was the same truck stolen from Fraser St in Shakespeare.
There appears to be a connection between the stolen pickup truck from Hamilton to the stolen pickup in Shakespeare and the stolen pickup truck in Milverton. The person responsible for these thefts may still be in possession of the stolen white 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck from Milverton. This pickup truck may however have been discarded and another vehicle may have been stolen in its place.
Anyone with any information on these thefts is asked to contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
