American regulators are warning Canadians about a car scam south of the border. They say Ambient Auto Centre based in Oklahoma City is advertising luxury cars on Canadian websites at low prices. However, the dealership doesn't appear to exist and the address it lists is an empty field. The company promises to ship its vehicles once the customer wires money but an investigator with the Oklahoma vehicle regulator calls it a "complete scam.'' Regulators say the Ambient website features ripped-off photographs and fabricated testimonials. A call to Ambient was sent to voice mail, and no one returned a message seeking comment.
