WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is in the process of opening most of the outdoor sports fields and courts.
Premiere sport fields will not be opening such as the gated class “A” fields. At this time all sports fields and courts are to be used strictly as recreation fields/courts.
Maintenance will occur but at recreational field standard. As only recreational use of the fields is permitted, booking and paying for sports fields will not be required. We ask users to be respectful when maintenance crews come by and to leave the playing field/court completely until maintenance is complete. Please limit play to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
As a municipality we will be following the provincial government guidelines as they make amendments to physical distancing, sport field use, and gathering sizes. Any changes to these items we will be sure to communicate with you. The City of Woodstock or Southwest Public Health has the right to close any Park amenity open if it feels that social distance or community gathering standards are not be observed, therefore making it a vector for virus spread.
