Road conditions are expected to be icy and dangerous starting Thursday.
OXFORD/BRANT - There's a special weather statement in effect in Oxford and Brant County.
Freezing rain and strong wind gusts up to 80 kilometres per hour is expected early Thursday morning until Thursday evening.
Road conditions are expected to be poor and Environment Canada suggests that everyone consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
"A strong low pressure system is expected to bring gusty southeasterly winds and a wintry mix of precipitation on Thursday. The precipitation is forecast to begin as either freezing rain or ice pellets before transitioning to snow or rain after noon. Snow or rain is expected to taper to flurries Thursday night."
