The Health Unit has declared an outbreak at Bethany Care Home in Norwich after 1 resident tested positive for COVID-19.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 7 new cases of the virus today and 8 resolved cases.
We currently have 2 people in the hospital with the virus and 1 in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 82 active cases with most of them in Aylmer. The rise in cases in Aylmer is related to an outbreak at the Ontario Police College where 67 people have tested positive for COVID-19. The Health Unit is also reporting just 1 active outbreak at local long term care homes at the Bethany Care Home in Norwich after 1 resident has tested positive for COVID-19.
