Southwestern Public Health is reporting more resolved cases than new cases today, and the amount of active cases in the region has gone down from 72 to 66.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health confirmed 13 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 19 recoveries.
This means we now have 66 ongoing cases within the health unit and you can find the complete break down below;
Woodstock - 36
Ingersoll - 3
Tillsonburg - 3
East Zorra-Tavistock - 2
Blandford-Blenheim - 1
Aylmer - 10
Central Elgin - 7
St. Thomas - 4
One person is currently being treated for the virus in the ICU.
Only one active outbreak remains in effect at this time; the Arches Transitional Bed Program in Woodstock. It was first declared last Tuesday and only one staff member has tested positive since then. Southwestern Public Health has screed 28 people for a variant of concern, of those cases, 14 are still active.
