Solar Panels Too Close to Highway

Three solar panels on the property of Perth County OPP in Seabringville are a little too close to Highway 8 for comfort. According to provincial highway standards, the solar panels need to be 8-meters back from the roadway. These panels on Highway 8 are between 1.5-meters and 6-meters. Infrastructure Ontario is responsible for the placement of the solar panels, and they've acknowledged the mistake, and say they will be moved back a safer distance. The cost of that is unknown. The setback standards are in place mainly for visibility, safety and to make room for future highway improvements.
