Oxford County will be getting hit by some bursts of snow over the next couple of hours. Environment Canada has issued a snowsquall warning for Oxford County, as some lake effect snow blows across the region. But the weather agency, in its warning, says the flurries will be short lived. "Along the cold front snow squalls have developed with snow at time heavy and snow amounts up to 5 cm. This, combining with the northwesterly winds of 40 gusting to 70 km, will reduce the visibility to half kilometre or less. These conditions are expected for less than 1 hour under blowing snow. The snow squalls are expected to come to an end by this afternoon as the cold front passes through." It may even be the end of snow for the season, as temperatures are expected to climb up into the teens by Sunday.
