You might have seen a few snowmobiles out over the last couple of days since the Boxing Day storm. But there isn't enough snow for the local trails to open. Groomers need 3-4 days to comb over the trails before they are safe for riders. Oxford County has once again partnered with the Southern Sno Riders to give them access to abandoned railways. "[Souther Sno Riders] organize trails and we just happen to be one of the parties that they're partnering with for these lengths of the abandoned railroads. Under than that, they do all the signage and maintenance. They also carry the liability insurance on the section of rail," said Oxford's Director of Public Works Rob Walton. There are two abandoned railways that will be used for trails this year: One that goes from the north part of Tillsonburg on Cranberry Line to Springford, and CASO Line that goes from Zenda Line to Middletown Line in Norwich Township East of Tillsonburg.
