Small Business Week Begins Next Monday

Woodstock's Small Business Centre has teamed up with local Chambers of Commerce to offer online events, including tips on social media, marketing and so much more.

OXFORD COUNTY - Small Business Week starts on Monday and local entrepreneurs can celebrate with a number of online events.

Manager of The Small Business Centre in Woodstock Ramona Gallagher says they have teamed up with the local Chambers of Commerce have teamed up for several online virtual events.

"So this years theme is forging the way forward and a lot of it has to do with the resilience of entrepreneurs."

She says normally they would hold a big event during Small Business Week.

"In discussions with the local Chambers of Commerce and in particular the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce, we decided this would be the perfect opportunity to partner with all the chambers to offer really small intimate little workshops and seminars for businesses in Oxford County."

Some of the online workshops offer tips on social media, marketing, branding, loans and so much more. Gallagher says they will have something new every day.

"We sort of start off with our Social Medial 101 classes and then we also have our Marketing 101, we talk different ways people can market and then we have brought in a number of different speakers to talk on different topics."
