A 34 year old man from Ohsweken has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Police had been investigating the disappearance of 48 year old Douglas Hill since June 24th. He was last spotted at the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Today police arrested 34 year old Nicholas Joel Shipman and charged him with accessory after the fact to murder. This is in relation to the February killing of Dustin Monture.
Six Nations Police Chief Glenn Lickers says that Shipmans arrest is related to Hill's disappearance.
"This is an active investigation and we will continue to leave no stone unturned in locating Douglas HILL. We need anyone with information to contact our investigators. Somebody knows where he is located and we need them to have the courage to contact us."
Lickers says they are still very active in their investigation of Monture's murder.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to remind the public that Six Nations Police and the OPP have a full-time team continuing their investigation into the murder of Dustin MONTURE from February 21, 2017. Investigators are aware that members of the public have information pertaining to this murder, those people coming forward are key to solving Dustin's killing."
Any person with information regarding any suspects or surrounding either of these incidents should contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or the Six Nations Police Service at 519-445-2811.
