Sign wars are all the rage in Southwestern Ontario and this weekend, several businesses in Oxford County joined in on the fun.
WOODSTOCK - Sign wars are taking off across Southwestern Ontario.
The fun started south of the border before hitting Sarnia. Locally it caught fire after a feature from CTV Kitchener on the sign war in Listowel. It was kicked off by Speedy Auto Glass and the local DQ. Speedy asked Dairy Queen for a sign war to which the ice cream shop responded with you bet your glass we do. The rest is history.
It's a fun way for businesses to connect with customers right now and give people a touch of laughter at the same time. Sign wars are popular right now in Woodstock, Brantford and Tillsonburg, with more and more communities jumping on board every day. You can share the signs with us in Woodstock using #friendlycitycivilsignwar. Here are some of the signs we have noticed so far. If you spot anymore in any community in Oxford County, please let us know.
