A woman had to be taken to hospital with a gunshot wound after a shooting on West Street in Simcoe on Saturday June 18th.
UPDATE: A 29-year-old from North York is facing a list of charges in relation to this investigation.
The Norfolk OPP say he was recently arrested in Thunder Bay and the charges include the following:
- Aggravated assault,
- Careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition,
- Point a firearm,
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
- Carrying a concealed weapon,
-Unauthorized possession of a weapon,
- Possession of a loaded, prohibited or restricted firearm,
- Discharge a firearm with intent.

SIMCOE - The Norfolk OPP is searching for a suspect after a shooting on West Street in Simcoe.
Police say a woman had to be taken to hospital with a gunshot wound at around 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 18th.
Officers are now on the lookout for a black man with a heavy build and dreadlock hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants at the time of the incident and he was spotted entering a burgundy coloured SUV on Nelson Street South. That vehicle was last spotted travelling on Queen Street South.
Police would like anyone with dash camera or surveillance footage of the area to look it over and contact the Norfolk OPP if they spot anything.
