WOODSTOCK - The dog park on Henry Street is closed until further notice.
Parks crew are at the park cleaning up sewing needles and nails that were found on the site. This is just another case of a sick deliberate attempt to injure children and pets at local parks in Woodstock.
The matter was discussed at length at the council meeting on Thursday night. Councillor Ron Fraser brought up the idea of offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information who can help bring this person or people to justice.
Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch was adamant that the City and Police are taking this matter very seriously and they are worried about what is happening. Birtch will be coming into the radio station today to provide more details. We will update this article at that time.
