Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Oxford County.
OXFORD COUNTY - A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued Oxford County.
Environment Canada is currently tracking a cluster of thunderstorms from St. Marys to Point Edward. The system is currently heading southeast at about 65 kilometres per hour.
The storm could bring up to 100 kilometre wind gusts, which could easily break tree branches and toss around loose objects. You should also take cover immediately if you hear thunder or see lightning.
We can also expect heavy down pours which could lead to flash flooding and water pooling on the roads.
UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm warning has ended.
