The Ford Government is said to be leaning towards keeping schools closed until the fall.
The Province is expected to announce a decision on schools after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
Several media outlets are reporting that the Ford Government is leaning towards keeping them closed until the fall.
Deputy Premier Christine Elliott was asked about this today during a virtual press conference.
"I can only confirm this is something that is being taken very seriously by the Premier, by Minister Lecce, by Dr. Williams and they are continuing to review the information that has been provided to them as a result of the letter, that the Premier sent out to a number of different individuals and organizations over the past week."
Education Minister Stephen Lecce reiterated that he thinks schools are safe in an exchange with NDP leader Andrea Horvath during Question Period this morning.
