Two people were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries after a school bus crash in Zorra Township this morning.
ZORRA - Two people were taken to hospital after a school bus collision.
The accident happened this morning shortly before 8:30. The bus carrying 17 primary students and was heading to Zorra Highland Park Public School.
Constable Stacy Colbert, Community and Media relations with Oxford County OPP explains what happened to the bus.
"The bus did leave the roadway and entered a ditch and actually struck a hydro pole."
Colbert says there were only two people taken to hospital.
"The bus driver and one female 13-year old student were taken to hospital. Nothing at this time invovles serious injuries. We are just making sure they are monitored at the hospital."
Colbert says there were other students who were treated at the scene.
"We had the remaining students, about three students, were seen by emergency medical services at the scene for bumps and bruises. They were released at the scene. The kids either went home to their parents from there or carried on to school."
The investigation is still ongoing.
