Oxford Road 9 will be entering phase 2 of a reconstruction project.
OXFORD COUNTY - Residents will have an opportunity to learn about a construction project.
Oxford County will be starting phase 2 of road reconstruction work on Oxford Road 9 in Woodstock. Tomorrow there will be a drop-in information session at the Oxford County Administration Building from 5 until 7 p.m. During that time, residents will be able to chat with the Public Works Engineering staff and view plans of the work that will be taking place starting next month.
The project is expected to be completed by October, but that depends on the weather. Traffic will see a marked detour in place for the duration of the project, which will be from Dundas Street to Oxford Road 11 and Oxford Road 9. The reconstruction will include, sanitary sewer replacement, service to the watermain, a new curb and sidewalk, and full-depth road reconstruction. The four-lane cross-section will be turned into two lanes with a two-way left-turn lane in the centre, and there will be two bike lanes added.
If you go to the Oxford County website, you will be able to find all the information about this project.
