Repair Woes: Province Looking at New Road Tolls or Tax

Repairing Ontario's aging roads and bridges might require extra help from taxpayers. Premier Kathleen Wynne says there has to be some way of helping municipalities that can't afford to modernize their infrastructure. She says the government will have to find a way to create "dedicated revenue streams'' just for roads and bridges. Wynne has already talked about the need for what she calls new revenue tools -- road tolls or some kind of tax -- to pay for upgrading public transit and easing road congestion in southern Ontario.
