Registration is now open for Woodstock's Coldest Night of the Year Walk, which is now also expanding into Ingersoll and Tillsonburg.
WOODSTOCK - One of the biggest fundraisers in Woodstock will be making a comeback in 2024.
Registration is now open for the Coldest Night of the Year Walk on Saturday February 24.
"The kind of goal is $150 per person. If you can fundraise that much, you get a toque. Obviously, people go above and beyond that and some people can't, which is great, we want to have them out too," says Organizer Scott McKauge.
The Woodstock event has already raised over 22-thousand-dollars... making it the ninth ranked in the country right now.
McKauge adds that, even though the event isn't held until February, it's never too early to start collecting.
"We meet on February 24, we all walk a route together, 2 kilometres or 5 kilometres. You get some free snacks and have some good conversations, and just feel good."
Walks will also be taking place in Ingersoll and Tillsonburg this year, with all of the funds going to support United Way Oxford.
