The stay at home order and state of emergency in Ontario have officially been extended for another 2 weeks. The earliest they can expire is February 9th.
ONTARIO - The Stay at Home order for Ontario has been extended for another two weeks.
The Province made the announcement today. Both the emergency and stay at home orders will be extended until February 9th. The information was shared as part of a press release on the vaccine program.
The State of Emergency was first declared on January 12th and was set to expire tomorrow before the extension. The earliest it can be lifted now is on February 9th. The Stay at Home Order was also extended another 14 days and was originally declared on Boxing Day when the entire Province went into lockdown.
The Province has listed 33 essential reasons to be out, they include exercise, travel and going to work for essential employees.
It calls on employers to ensure that anyone who can work from home, does so during the order.
You cannot be evicted during the state of emergency.
