Ontario is back under 1,000 daily cases today with 966 new cases confirmed this morning and 979 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 966 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 302,805.
Ontario also confirmed 11 new deaths today, bringing the total number of deaths in the Province to 6,997. Another 979 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 285,262. Ontario confirmed several new cases of COVID-19 variants yesterday. The Province also confirmed 7 new variant cases today, this means we now have a total of 535 cases of the variant that originated in the U.K, 27 of the variant traced back to South Africa and 3 that originated in Brazil.
The province completed 30,767 tests yesterday. We currently have 677 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 284 people in the ICU and 189 in the ICU on a ventilator.
