Daily case numbers are below 3,000 for the second day in a row in Ontario and resolved cases are over 4,000.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,941 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 479,633.
The Province confirmed 44 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,187. Another 4,361 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 436,470.
The province completed 45,767 tests yesterday. We currently have 2,075 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 882 people in the ICU and 620 in the ICU on a ventilator. Well over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 924 new cases in Toronto, 565 in Peel, 254 in York Region, 171 in Durham and 149 in Hamilton.
